The Club at Forest Ridge Goes Fully Private November 1, 2026

October 7, 2026

A new chapter begins this fall at Forest Ridge.

On November 1, 2026, The Club at Forest Ridge in Broken Arrow will transition to a fully private country club. The milestone reflects nearly a decade of planning, investment, and a shared vision: to create a club where exceptional amenities, thoughtful service, and lasting friendships are part of everyday life.

For members and the surrounding Forest Ridge community, that vision is becoming a reality.

“This is a defining moment for the club, our team, and our members,” said Davis Robson, President of The Robson Companies. “The pride in what we’ve built and the excitement for what’s ahead are at an all-time high.”

A Club Built Around Its Members

Since opening in 1989 on land that was once a working cattle ranch, The Club at Forest Ridge has been a centerpiece of the Forest Ridge community. Its Randy Heckenkemper-designed championship golf course established a reputation for outstanding golf. Over the years, the experience has grown well beyond the fairways.

Today, members enjoy an 18-hole golf course, two clubhouses, dining, a resort-style pool, fitness facilities, tennis, pickleball, and a calendar of social events and activities.

The transition to fully private brings those experiences together around one priority: the members.

A morning on the course can become an afternoon by the pool with family. A tennis match can lead to dinner with friends. For many Forest Ridge residents, it all begins with a short golf cart ride from home.

That ease of connection is central to what makes the club special. Members have a place to spend time doing what they love, meet people who share their interests, and feel at home.

Year-Round Racquet Sports and More Ways to Connect

One of the most significant recent additions is the Racquets Pavilion, an indoor, climate-controlled facility that supports year-round tennis and pickleball.

In Oklahoma, where summer heat and winter weather can interrupt outdoor play, the pavilion makes a meaningful difference. It gives members more opportunities to take lessons, participate in organized play, and stay active throughout the year.

It also reflects the broader approach behind the private transition: invest in amenities that members can use regularly, then build programs and experiences that bring those spaces to life.

From golf and racquet sports to fitness, dining, and family activities, the club continues to create opportunities for members of different ages and interests to connect.

Hospitality at the Heart of the Experience

Great facilities are only part of a great club. The people and service behind them matter just as much.

Forest Ridge’s partnership with Bobby Jones Links supports that commitment through club operations, hospitality, and planning for the future. General Manager Cody Lack brings 30 years of golf industry experience, including more than 13 years overseeing full-facility operations.

An Oklahoma native, Lack first played Forest Ridge in the early 2000s. Today, his focus is on getting to know the members, supporting the team, and understanding what makes each visit meaningful.

“The Forest Ridge team is very talented and has created a one-of-a-kind family atmosphere,” Lack said.

As the club enters its private era, that welcoming atmosphere remains essential. The goal is for members to feel recognized, cared for, and confident that their experience matters.

Honoring the Vision of Joe Robson

This milestone also carries deep personal meaning for the Robson family.

Joe Robson, the founder and developer of Forest Ridge, established the community and the club that have brought families together for nearly four decades. Before his passing, he and his son, Davis, worked toward the vision of a fully private country club for nearly a decade.

Today, Davis carries that vision forward as President of The Robson Companies, overseeing Forest Ridge’s continued development and the club’s next chapter.

“None of what we are celebrating today would have been possible without his foresight, dedication, and investment,” Davis said. “It is a tremendous honor to carry his legacy forward as the club begins this exciting new chapter.”

That legacy continues in the community Joe built and in the experiences members will share for years to come.

Looking Ahead

November 1 marks the beginning of the club’s next phase, with continued investment in amenities, programming, and hospitality.

Member feedback will help guide future improvements, ensuring that the club evolves around the people who use it every day.

“Even though it’s privately owned, it’s important that the members feel it’s their club,” Robson said.

For longtime members, new families, and those considering membership, the future of The Club at Forest Ridge offers something meaningful: a place to belong, with more opportunities to enjoy life together.
