History The Journey Of Forest Ridge

History

History

Forest Ridge is built on land that was once a cattle ranch owned by L.S. Robson, the grandfather of Joe Robson – developer of Forest Ridge. The Robson Family Ranch stretched from Broken Arrow to Catoosa and still exists on a portion of this land today. After the death of Nick Robson, Joe’s father, the ranch was leased to conserve 2,000 wild Mustang horses.

Joe Robson had a dream of developing the first master-planned community in the state. In November of 1986, Forest Ridge began with the development of the Oaklane Subdivision. Since then, developments have consistently been added, with plans for more in the future. This resort-style community is located on over 1,000 acres and offers homes for every budget, stunning green areas, and recreation for every taste. Forest Ridge has been the recipient of several prestigious awards over the years, including “Best Subdivision” by the Home Builders Association of Greater Tulsa and “Top 100 Places to Retire” by Where to Retire Magazine.

Construction on Forest Ridge Golf Course began in 1988 and opened to the public on October 1, 1989, as the area’s first upscale golf club. This award-winning public golf course is praised for its meticulously maintained course and premier service. Forest Ridge also offers a full-service restaurant, bar, and beautiful event space, all within the main clubhouse.

The Ridge Club is the latest addition to the amenities in Forest Ridge. This premier social club opened in 2019 and features a state-of-the-art fitness facility, resort-style pool, six lighted tennis courts, pickleball, and private member events.
