Joe Robson

A leader in the Tulsa area home building and development industries for over 25 years, Joe is Founder and President of The Robson Companies, Inc., developers of Forest Ridge. In 1989, Forest Ridge Golf Club opened as the centerpiece to the 1000-acre Forest Ridge Master Planned Community.

Joe has long been a driving force in both local and national home builder associations. Joe was elected 2006 vice president/secretary of the Washington, D.C based National Association of Home Builders. This five-year commitment started in 2005 and puts him in-line to be NAHB President in 2009.

On the state level, Joe has served on the Board of Directors for the Oklahoma State Builders Association since 1990 and was President in 1993. He was honored as 1994 Oklahoma Builder of the Year and 1992 Tulsa Home Builder of the Year. Joe also has served as President of the Tulsa Home Builders Association for two terms, 1991 and 1992.

Just a few of Joe’s numerous leadership positions include Chairman and Director of the National Center for Housing and Environment; Board of Directors of Metropolitan Tulsa Chamber of Commerce; Member of the Oklahoma Judicial Nominating Committee; Chairman, Vice Chairman and Advisory Board Member of the Salvation Army; Leadership Tulsa Alumni; Chairman and Board of Directors Member, Broken Arrow Chamber of Commerce; Board of Directors Member Federal Home Loan Bank of Topeka; and Chairman, Board of Directors of RCB Bank.

Doug Shrout
Vice President of Development, The Robson Companies, Inc.
Doug Shrout is sometimes called the “Grandfather of Forest Ridge” because he has been with Forest Ridge since the inception. Doug began working on the construction of the Clubhouse, Cart Barn and Maintenance Building in November 1988 while the golf course was still under construction.

He was hired by Joe Robson as a full time employee in June, 1989 to help with developing the infrastructure of Forest Ridge. Doug is in charge of all the new development from raw land to finished lots, including coordinating the engineering, processing through the city, installation of the sanitary sewer, water, storm drains and streets as well as building the lakes, streams, jogging trails and parks within Forest Ridge. Shrout recruits and screens builders to join Forest Ridge’s approved Builder Groups for the various neighborhoods.

Doug is also responsible for landscape maintenance of the Forest Ridge Homeowners Association common areas and the entire Forest Ridge Campus including the Clubhouse, Cart Barn, the Glass Veranda, Swim & Tennis Center and the Maintenance facility.

Currently serving as Secretary for the Forest Ridge Homeowners Association, Doug maintains the minutes of all Board of Directors Meetings and is responsible for keeping the Covenants, Codes & Restrictions up-to-date.

In 2005, Doug was selected as the “Builder of the Year” by the Home Builders Association of Greater Tulsa.

Doug not only brings many years of experience and knowledge to Forest Ridge he also has a quick wit and many entertaining Forest Ridge stories to tell.

Doug and his wife, Carol, were married in 1968 and have one daughter, one granddaughter and one grandson.

Craig McMurphy, CPA
Vice President/Treasurer, The Robson Companies, Inc.
Craig has been the Vice President/Treasurer for The Robson Companies, Inc. since 1994. He is a 1982 Oklahoma State University graduate with a B.S. in Business Administration and an accounting major.

Craig also serves as Vice President-Treasurer and Controller for numerous other Robson owned entities.

Craig’s interests reach beyond Forest Ridge into the local community. He is a member of Broken Arrow Rotary Club, American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Oklahoma Society of Certified Public Accountants. He is currently the Secretary-Treasurer of The Broken Arrow Rotary Club Foundation and he is the past Treasurer of the Broken Arrow Salvation Army.

Craig lives in Forest Ridge and is an avid golfer. Craig and his wife, Becky, were married in 1982 and have two children. Craig’s’ friends all call him “Murph.”

Zachary Davis
Vice President The Robson Companies & Forest Ridge
Zach Davis’ career started with The Robson Companies, Inc. in 2000 as the Sales and Marketing Director. With a B.S. in Business Administration from Oklahoma State University, Zach brings an extensive background in real estate management, shopping center management, and sales to Forest Ridge.

As Joe Robson’s commitments with the National Home Builders Association in Washington, D.C. have required him to travel extensively, Zach became more involved in the day to day Forest Ridge operations.

In 2005, Zach was promoted to Vice President of the Robson Companies, Inc. He now oversees the entire Forest Ridge Golf Club entity which includes Forest Ridge Golf Club, Cafe Savannah's, and the Swim and Tennis Center. He also supervises all sales and marketing functions for the Robson Companies, Inc.

Zach’s biggest strengths are his combination of an organized approach to team building with a meticulous attention to detail. He is known for frugality and his ability to save the company money. He is also responsible for the most extensive changes in the golf club’s history by revamping the pricing structure and recruiting Lance Allen, the new Head Golf Professional in 2006. Steve Surles
Marketing Manager, The Robson Companies, Inc.
Steve is the Marketing Manager for The Robson Companies. He is responsible for marketing campaigns for Forest Ridge Golf Club, Forest Ridge Real Estate Development, Robson Realty, Café Savannah’s and the Glass Veranda.

Steve has worked in marketing, advertising and the golf industry since 1994. Previously he worked as a production manager for several area advertising agencies including Brother’s & Company, Fair Isaac, Ackerman McQueen and Blackwood/Martin (Fayetteville, AR). Prior to Forest Ridge he was the Membership Director for Broken Arrow and Owasso Golf & Athletic Clubs.

Steve is a graduate of the University of Arkansas with a degree in Journalism. He and his wife, Tia, have two children. As an Arkansas graduate naturally he is an avid Razorback fan.

Rob Baumgarten
Sales Manager, Robson Realty
Rob began with The Robson Companies in September 2007. He is responsible for providing information about the Forest Ridge community and homes to prospective residents and Realtors. He serves as a liaison to the marketing manager for all real estate marketing. Rob is an ambassador for Forest Ridge to the real estate community.

Rob started his career as a Customer Service Representative for Scudder Investments of Chicago, Illinois. He moved back to Tulsa in 2002 to learn the homebuilding industry and to be closer to family and friends. He was involved in 14 new home construction transactions over a 4-year period.

Rob earned his Real Estate License in 2004 and most recently worked with Coldwell Banker of Tulsa executing transactions of buying and selling of homes.

He graduated from Oklahoma State University in 1999 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing.

Rob and his wife, Erin, were married in 2002 and have one daughter.

John Babe
Forest Ridge Golf Course Superintendent
John has been the Golf Course Superintendent since the inception of Forest Ridge in 1988. John’s career includes positions at Quail Creek in Oklahoma City, and eight years as Assistant Golf Course Superintendent at Southern Hills Country Club.

John began working at Forest Ridge to oversee the growth of the golf course. He is responsible for the set up and maintenance of the golf course.

John is the type of guy you just can’t help but like, and he has done a great job with the care of our course for all of these years.

John and his wife, Kathleen ,have 3 children and reside in Forest Ridge.

Lance Allen
Head Golf Pro
Lance joined Forest Ridge as Head Golf Professional in early 2006. He began as a golf professional in 1989. Lance came to Forest Ridge after serving the last five years as General Manager and Head Professional at Clary Fields Golf Club. Prior to opening Clary Fields in 2000, Lance was the Head Professional at Stewart Peninsula Golf Course in Texas. Lance began his career in golf as an Assistant Professional at Forest Ridge shortly after the golf course opened in 1989.

When seeking a new Golf Professional in our restructuring effort in 2006, Lance was one of few who did not apply. After timeless recruitment efforts, Lance was pursued to Forest Ridge for his people skills and customer service detail. You might catch him loading a bag, loading inventory onto a shelf or helping you at the counter.

Under Lance’s leadership, Forest Ridge Golf Club has added a variety of golf program selections while enhancing the strengths for which the course has always been known.

Lance is responsible for the day-to-day golf course operations, managing the Golf Shop, coordinating tournaments and outings at the course.

Lance and his wife, Nootsie, reside in Forest Ridge and he has two daughters.

Brian Bodenstab
Food & Beverage Manager, Forest Ridge Golf Club
Brian's primary responsibilities are to oversee the operations of Café Savannah’s and The Glass Veranda.

His restaurant career started at Zio’s in 1997 as an assistant manager and he was promoted to General Manager in 2003 of locations in Houston, TX and Tulsa, OK. Brian has extensive knowledge in the business of running a restaurant. His goal of success and growth with the priority of guests, quality and safety control as well as accountability makes Brian a great addition to our management staff. If you're looking for Brian on his rare day off, he is probably still here working.

Brian’s accomplishments as a manager include areas of increased sales, increased customers and lowest employee turnover of all Zio’s locations. His values, decision making and adaptation to the changing market allow Brian to make Café Savannah’s an enjoyable restaurant.

He graduated from Oklahoma State University in 1996 with a B.S. in Human Environmental Science and majored in Hotel and Restaurant Administration.

Brian and his wife, Melissa, have one son and reside in Tulsa. Friends call him "Bodie"

Andrea Vaught
Special Events & Dining Room Manager
Andrea joined Forest Ridge Golf Club in December 2006. Her main responsibilities include supervision of all wait staff, organization of the dining area, administrative work for Café Savannah’s & Glass Veranda as well as organization of all events and banquets.

Her background in situation analysis, organization and communication is a vital part in the success of Café Savannah’s & Glass Veranda.

She attended Tulsa Community College and Rogers State University majoring in Business Management.

Prior to Forest Ridge she was manager of Mimi’s Café in Tulsa. Andrea is no stranger to the golf business as she worked at Indian Hills Golf Club (now Cherokee Casino) and Broken Arrow Golf & Athletic Club managing their restaurants.

The organizational skills, customer service and strong management background make Andrea an asset to Forest Ridge Golf Club.

Jennifer Hill
Swim & Tennis Center Manager
Jennifer returned to Forest Ridge in 2007 where she was previously a lifeguard and manager from 1992-2001. Her duties include overall management of the center including staff, swim lessons and making the center one to enjoy.

Jennifer began as a lifeguard in 1991, started teaching swim lessons in 1992 and water aerobics in 1994. Since returning to Forest Ridge Jennifer has made extensive improvements in the overall pool operations.

Jennifer and her husband, Brady, have 5 children.
